The night porter/barman was very good. The receptionist excellant and looked after us with the car parking. Hotel was in a very good position.

The Breakfast was not to our usual standards the bacon was luke warm and the eggs could have been better but the service was excellant. Room was very clean although my bed was very creaky but the sea view made up for this.

The food was excellent, it was a shame about the weather

I would have preferred a room with a seaview and also the television was nit high enough to watch it when lying in bed

The sea view from our room was fine and made our stay special.

The room had stained carpets and the pillows needed replacing.

The staff where very friendly and the rooms quiet.

It feels and sound like every floorboard needs to be replaced, the sqeek very loud and bend when you step on them.

on old english hotel right on the waterfront. its a little dated but is still charming. the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. the location is excellent just across the road from the beach and bandstand and with a short stroll into the centre of town. the staff were great and let my friends and I book in early and on the day of our departure kept our luggage in a looked storage room for us until our train in the afternoon.

The location of the hotel was marvellous and brilliant - relatively close to a traditional Victorian pier. There were exceptionally comfortable beds and an electric kettle, central heating and a TV inside the room. The staff were polite and created quiet atmosphere...

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful and accomodating.

The rooms could do with a spot of decoration but you get what you pay for.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were pleasant and helpfull. The location was excellent for both beach and town centre.

I had a room at the rear of the hotel and was woken every morning by the sound of bottles being deposited into a bin.the price of drinks at the bar seemed very dear.(Or is this just the going rate in Eastbourne?)

The outdated decor gives an impression of neglect!!! Maintenance issues like peeling paint and inadequate signage could be addressed to enhance guest experience!!!

Localization, quite clean, elevator. Fish for breakfast.

Tv was not working. Wifi likely reaches the first floor only. It's not really a flaw but don't be astonished by the age of customers, everything is done in this hotel for seniors ! Our room was among those having an awful view on the back and this is not recommended for a long stay in Eastbourne ! You can be uncomfortable with the transparent door of the bathroom/toilets.No parking. It's ok on sunday when any parking is free in the city.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of our room and bathroom. We attended a private function in the evening and the staff were very good.

Grubby mat in the lift. Not a friendly welcome at reception. Scaffolding outside our room within the building. Staff at breakfast not welcoming.
